Future Pathways
The breadth and depth of a Steiner education opens doors rather than closes them. Parkerville Steiner College graduates leave with the knowledge, confidence and adaptability to pursue university, further training, employment and the many possibilities that lie beyond school.
“By the time the students reach us, they are grounded broadly and deeply and have a remarkable enthusiasm for learning.”
Arthur Zajonc, Professor of Physics
Beyond High School
University has become the predominant pathway chosen by our graduates. In their final year at PSC, students have the opportunity to sit the Skills for Tertiary Admissions Test (STAT), a nationally recognised aptitude test used for university entry. The STAT result is converted to an equivalent ATAR score and provides an alternative pathway into many university courses across Australia, allowing students to pursue tertiary study without undertaking a traditional ATAR program.
While University might be the pathway of choice, at PSC we believe there is no single definition of success and no one pathway that suits every young person. Our senior program prepares students for a wide range of opportunities beyond school, including university, TAFE, apprenticeships, employment and gap year experiences. Our students are also regularly accepted into the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA).
Through a broad and balanced education that nurtures independent thinking, creativity, practical skills and resilience, our graduates leave with the confidence and capability to pursue the pathway that is right for them.
There is More Than One Pathway to University
Nearly half of Australian university students enter university through pathways other than ATAR.
